Meet Your OT

  • Hi, my name is Haley Ranson and I am a neurodiversity-affirming pediatric occupational therapist (OT). I have a unique backstory- I was raised by two OTs and diagnosed with ADHD when I was 6 years old. My life has been an ongoing journey of self-acceptance: navigating constant obstacles, battling self-doubt, and masking, while also embracing my individual differences, learning self-advocacy, and finally finding the confidence and self-assurance to recognize my gifts and harness them to create a positive change in the world.

  • I was fortunate to grow up with a community that validated my experiences and offered support which, in turn, gave me the courage and tools to overcome my barriers to success. This type of support and collaboration is what I work very hard to provide to others who are navigating their adversity.

I consider myself a creative problem solver and facilitator of independence. What matters to you and your child, matters to me and we will use their interests to develop new skills and improve their confidence to take on new challenges.

Treatment plans will include meaningful and relevant goals that promote belonging and increased independence.  I aim to create a fun and safe environment where every child can participate, learn, and find meaning in their daily occupations.

  • I earned my Bachelors Degree in Psychology from Clemson University and my Masters Degree in Occupational Therapy from the Medical University of South Carolina. I have worked as an OT for over 5 years in schools, outpatient clinical settings, outdoors, and home health, seeing clients ages 2-21 with various diagnoses (ASD, ADHD, SPD, Down Syndrome, Dyslexia, Dyspraxia, etc). My fascination with OT’s role in Executive Functioning (EF), in particular, led to over 70 hours of Continuing Education courses learning about all things EF. I consider Executive Functioning to be my area of expertise and where my passion lies. I am also a certified TBRI provider (Trust Based Relational Intervention) as well as holding certifications in Integrative Listening System (ILS) and Interactive Metronome (IM).

You’ve learned all about me! I would love to learn about you and your child. If you think we would be a good fit, please reach out or set up a free consultation call.
